How to clear endpoint status
Clear Blocked Status
If too many failed login attempts in a row get registered, your public IP Address might get temporarily or permanently blocked.
The LoginAuditor works as follows:
- After some attempts, you get temporarily blocked with a short blocking time.
- After a short time, you can try again. If failed, the temporary block will last slightly longer times.
- Finally, if you keep insisting, you will get permanently blocked.
Also, note that it is your public IP address that will temporarily get blocked. To find the public IP address, you can use IP services like public IP address.
Also, you will need access and the right privileges to the neuron where the blocked status is registered, in this case being:
+Admin\.Communication\.Endpoints
To clear the temporary or permanent blocks:
- Go to
https://[NeuronDomain]/RemoteEndpoint.md?EP=NNN.NNN.NNN.NNN
- Replace NeuronDomain with the domain of the Neuron, e.g., lab.tagroot.io
- Replace
NNN.NNN.NNN.NNN.NNN
with the IP address you wish to clear the status. - Once there, see the column Blocked: ✔
- ✔ means that the endpoint is blocked. To clear the status click on Clear Status. If done correctly, the status should change to ✗, and the endpoint is no longer blocked
